now before you decide the title [and subsequent post] is distasteful and crude, i’m going to ask you to bear with me…
i was recently re-watching one of my favorite documentaries “guys and dolls” by Nick Holt (you can watch it on youtube for free, link below) and i suddenly had a question:
“has anyone opened a brothel with real dolls?”
my reasoning was as follows:
- although incredibly life-like, the dolls are not human and are unlikely to
transmit diseases (especially if cleaned between uses)
- if someone with a partner has sex with a real doll, it generally would not be
considered cheating, but rather a high form of masturbation which is much more
kindly looked upon in society
- sometimes men have difficulty understanding and relating to women when it comes
to sex (particularly with “attractive” women, which the dolls are modeled after) and
the dolls can be used for practice or confidence-building
i did a little reading about why men use prostitutes (Guardian article link below), and it seems the reasons are varied and not well-understood. Some men do it for the feeling of having power over someone else, some men do it because they feel incapable of having relations with a “real” woman, some men do it because they feel they may rape a woman if they don’t have sex with someone soon (what i call “getting the evils out”). while Madam Rose’s (cool name, huh?) may not be the solution for all of these issues, it may help with some. for example, sometimes long-term couples have issues with stagnation in the bedroom; rather than risk their health and include a stranger in their sexual activities, they could try something new with a real doll. or another example could be with someone who has contracted a sexually transmitted illness and does not want to risk infecting their partner.
i don’t see Madam Rose’s really as a brothel, but rather as a sexual health education clinic. the dolls could be used in private or group classes on different techniques and methods. we could have an in-house counselor to use the dolls in working with people who have difficulty relating to others. couples could reserve a room and doll to play out a fantasy or practice a technique. single men could reserve a room and doll to work out their frustrations or let some of that “evil” out.
of course, safety would be the first priority. dolls would be inspected and cleaned after every use (by an in-house doll expert). surveillance cameras would be installed in every room but only for the client’s protection, as they would sign a waiver upon entry regarding confidentiality and privacy. there would be no more than two persons allowed in a room with a doll per session, and any misconduct leading to damage of the doll or any other property would result in prompt termination of the session and, if necessary, legal action.
anyway, some people i tell this idea to say it’s a dumb idea and others say it’s innovative. it would obviously depend on the location, and the culture in that area. i’m only a quarter of a century old, and pretty naive, but i think it could maybe help some people. oh well…
